Two Arrests, One Fugitive In Police Shooting
WILLEMSTAD – Police have made two arrests again in the case of the downed police officers. It involves two Venezuelan women.
In total there are now 14 Venezuelans detained. One Curaçaoan has been released. Last week Thursday a car was stopped for inspection by two police officers. There were three occupants in the car. One of them shot at the police, injuring both of them.
Police are still searching for the suspected gunman, 33-year-old Karoly Rafael Flores Molina (SEE PHOTO).
During the weekend the police have intensified their search for the main suspect. During their search, the authorities have arrested twelve illegal immigrants. Eight Venezuelans, two Jamaicans and two Colombians.
They were all transferred to the immigration department for further investigation.
